The Billy Vest sewing pattern is a fabulous hardworking gilet.  You can sew your own with sturdy, water resistant fabrics, or make one for casual city style in denim or linen fabric.  Choose to sew yours lined or unlined, with facings on the inside or outside.

Skill level; Intermediate.

Recommended Fabrics – , , , wool, , cotton twills or canvas. For the lining we’d suggest  or our if using a traditional oilskin, otherwise – cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings.
